Kid Rock refuses to retract his 2019 comments on Oprah Winfrey
When it comes to celebrity feuds, it goes without saying that Kid Rock and Oprah Winfrey aren’t exactly the two stars you’d expect to hear about in the same sentence. Let’s face it – the two have absolutely no parallels other than the fact that they are both famous. However, Kid Rock seems to have quite a problem with the media personality as he has said some pretty harsh things about her in public.
So what exactly did Kid Rock say about Oprah Winfrey? Also, has he ever shown remorse for his words? Read on for a full breakdown of the messy (and pretty one-sided) situation.
In November 2019, TMZ reported that on stage at his Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock ‘N’ Roll Steakhouse restaurant and bar in Nashville, Tennessee, Kid Rock was drunk and hurling profanity at Oprah, as well as Joy Behar and Kathie Lee Gifford.
Although the famous talk show host wasn’t present at the bar, Kid Rock made sure to say things like “F-k Oprah” along with other obscene comments. Eventually, he was escorted off the stage by venue security.
The outlet also noted that Kid Rock had apparently made his disdain for Oprah clear in previous interviews over the years.
My people tried to get me to do the show The Oprah Winfrey years ago and their people wanted me to write down 5 reasons why I love her and her show…🏳️🌈 I said fuck that and her . End of the story.

The week after his onstage tirade, Kid Rock took to Twitter to seemingly explain why he’s not a fan of Oprah:
“My people tried to get me to do The Oprah Winfrey Show years ago, and their people wanted me to write down five reasons why I love her and her show… I said, f-k, that and her. End of story,” he tweeted on Nov. 29, 2019.

You’d think it would be a lot of work to maintain a one-sided beef, but it seems like Kid Rock is still riding the Oprah hate train full-throttle.
During a June 2022 interview with Fox News’ Tucker Carlson, Kid Rock revealed that he still believes everything he said during his drunken tirade in 2019.
“A drunk man’s words are a sober man’s thoughts. I own what I said,” he told the conservative media personality during their chat (per NBC).
Among other things, Kid Rock has previously sparked controversy for his affinity with former President Donald Trump, as well as his comments about Taylor Swift and his outspoken opposition to venues with COVID-19 vaccine and mask mandates.
